Growing Trees, Growing Futures

At KIS Reignwood Park, our World Soil Day & Father’s Day celebration brought the whole community together through the meaningful activity “Growing Trees, Growing Futures.”

In honor of King Rama IX and his lifelong dedication to sustainable agriculture and soil development, students across all sections engaged in hands-on learning that connected environmental care with gratitude and respect.

Our PYP students planted small seedlings to symbolize growth, care, and thankfulness. These plants will later be gifted to teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day, 16 January 2026, representing the continuation of His Majesty’s legacy.

Meanwhile, our MYP students had the special opportunity to learn from Ms. Benjarat, Senior Professional Forester of the Royal Forest Department, who shared insights on soil conservation and demonstrated how to make Seed Balls. Students crafted their own Seed Balls and presented them for use in a reforestation project — a symbolic act of giving back to the land and supporting national conservation efforts.

This year’s theme, “From the King’s Soil to Our Future,” reminds us that by nurturing the earth today, we help grow a sustainable and hopeful tomorrow.
